Food Art and Animal art combine to make the ultimate in whimsy.
Recently I have been working to push my skills and develop my talent. I have always enjoyed food art and this project has enabled me to bring my art skills and my food art to the next level with a range of food art inspired animals. So from doughnut fennec foxes and honeyed frogs on pancake lilly pads to celestial hippos made of red velvet cake and mignight mirror glazes and onion owls I have done it all.
The real joy and challenge of this project has been to analyse and understand the texture of the foods and how best to create this convincing illusion.
